A group comprised of the Red Sox high prospects will take the sphere subsequent spring as a part of an upcoming Spring Breakout showcase introduced Wednesday by Major League Baseball.
As a part of the four-day occasion, which is scheduled to run from March 14-17, every MLB membership will discipline a group of their high prospects to play an exhibition sport in opposition to one other membership’s high younger stars. The Red Sox showcase will happen on Saturday, March 16 at JetBlue Park at 1:05 p.m. in opposition to the Atlanta Braves prospects.
The showcase was conceived as a method to higher familiarize followers with the sport’s up-and-coming stars, increasing on different occasions just like the Futures Game over All-Star Weekend.
“Spring Breakout will provide a new opportunity to showcase the future stars of the game as they continue on their journey to the Major Leagues,” stated Commissioner Rob Manfred in a press release. “Our fans will get unique opportunities to meet our best prospects, get autographs, and see the next generation of Major Leaguers up close. Each prospect sport shall be seven innings and most shall be held as a part of a doubleheader that includes the group’s huge league golf equipment, although the Red Sox showcase shall be a standalone sport.
The groups will encompass 20-25 prospects, and whereas no rosters have been introduced, some logical selections for the Red Sox embrace high prospects like Marcelo Mayer, Roman Anthony, Kyle Teel and Wikelman Gonzalez.
